This guide will walk you through the steps for utilizing Solyo’s Chat feature to interact with your uploaded data in real-time.
Prerequisites
- A registered Solyo account
- Uploaded data such as documents, emails, or other sources you want to interact with
- Tags and folders assigned to your data for better organization and retrieval
Chat with Your Data in Solyo
Step 1: Access the Chat Interface
- Log into Solyo.
- Navigate to the Playground section on the dashboard.
- Select Chat from the Command Center on the left-hand side.
Step 2: Set a Time Period for Your Data
- In the Period dropdown, select the timeframe you wish to query:
- Last 24 hours
- In the last 2 days
- In the last 7 days
- In the last 30 days
- Any dates: Query data from any point in time.
- Custom: Set a specific start and end date for a custom time range.
Filtering by time helps refine the data scope and provides Solyo with relevant information based on the selected period.
Step 3: Filter Your Search

Folder: Select the folder that contains the data you want to interact with. For example, choose folders like School, Documentation, or Legal.

Document: Filter by specific documents to limit the interaction to those files only.

Tag: Tags add precision. You can filter your search based on tags assigned to your data.
- Example: Selecting the tag Axel will help Solyo retrieve information related to that tag.

Link Filters: You can include data organized with custom links in Solyo for more specific searches.
Step 4: Start Chatting with Solyo
Once your filters and time period are set, type your query or command into the chatbox to begin interacting with your data.
Example Queries:
- "What were the latest updates from Axel’s school?"
- "Show me documents tagged with 'Soccer' from last week."
- "Summarize all emails received from work in the last two days."
Solyo will retrieve relevant information and provide responses based on your selected filters and time range.
Step 5: Managing Chat Results
- Sources: Each response includes a list of sources, showing which documents or emails contributed to the answer. Expand this list for details.
- Save/Like/Dislike: You can save the chat, give feedback on the response, or delete it if irrelevant.
- Refine Your Query: Adjust your question or filters to narrow down or expand the data scope.
- Save Sources: After receiving a response, save sources for future reference.
Step 6: Command Center Options
The Command Center provides different query options:
- Query: Use for precise, data-driven queries.
- Blog: Generate blog posts based on your data.
- Summary: Create summaries from filtered data.
- Quiz: Generate quizzes or interactive content.
- Presentation: Create presentations from selected data.
